Social and Emotional Learning

Welcome to the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Committee! We're committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and emotionally healthy environment where students can thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Through interactive activities, workshops, and resources, we help children—and their families—develop essential life skills such as empathy, self-awareness, resilience, and effective communication.

Parent Circles

Throughout the year, we host Parent Circles—small group discussions exclusively for elementary school parents. These sessions are facilitated by Drs. Alan Dienstag and Katie Sawyer of the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Community Counseling Center. Parent Circles offer a space to:

  • Share experiences and challenges

  • Gain practical tools for supporting your child’s emotional wellbeing

  • Build connection with other parents in a warm, judgment-free environment
