Halloween Parade

  • Chatsworth Avenue School (map)

As has been a tradition for many decades, we look forward to our annual Chatsworth Halloween Parade, which will take place on Friday, October 31st. The 5th graders will lead the parade and begin walking at 2:00 p.m. All students, grades K through 5 will march around the building. The parade will begin on the Forest Park Avenue side of the school and students will continue to Chatsworth Avenue, then Addison Street, turning on to Larchmont Avenue, and returning to Forest Park Avenue to reenter the building. We look forward to seeing your smiles as you line up around the school to cheer us on as we march. Feel free to take as many photographs as you would like, but no family members will be allowed onto school grounds during the parade.  Students will NOT be dismissed from the parade and will return back to their classrooms. Parents can enter the school grounds at 2:55 pm for a regular dismissal.

Please make a note of the following costume guidelines:

  • Any type of weapon is prohibited.

  • Face masks are strictly prohibited.

  • Costumes must go on OVER clothing.

  • Please do not send any face paint or makeup that must be applied in school.

  • Please avoid gory costumes that may scare other children.

  • Students should be able to put their costumes on independently (with minimal assistance). They may need to practice this at home beforehand.

  • Please do NOT send children to school wearing their costumes.

  • We can not allow any inflatable costumes due to safety concerns.
